Short bio
Rohit Jain studied sociology and social anthropology at the University of Berne. In his current research project he focuses on the production and reproduction of ethnicity, gender, and class in the context of hegemony, migration, and globalization. He holds a scholarship from the Priority Research Programme Asia and Europe of the University of Zurich. His dissertation concerns translocal constructions of ‚Indianness’ among second generation Indians in Switzerland.
